DRESS CODE
Students are to abide by dress code listed below at all times. Students that are not properly dressed will be dismissed from class. Hair should be secured neatly off the faces unless otherwise noted. Please note that APSD does not allow crop tops or sports bras. Additionally, dancers must wear tights when wearing dance shorts.
You can purchase all of your dancewear supplies through our online web stores Nimbly by Revolution and Corps Dancewear. All dancers will need Revolution brand tights for the spring recital. Please refer to the information below for specific leotard colors and styles for syllabus classes.
CECCHETTI SYLLABUS UNIFORMS
For all Cecchetti classes (Primary I-Grade VII), we require a class uniform. Each level has a required uniform style and color. If a dancer is in more than one Cecchetti level, they will need more than one leotard. Hair must be in a bun, no jewelry is permitted. Girls need Revolution Prima Pink footed tights with clean pink ballet shoes. Boys should wear black dance tights, black ballet shoes, a dance belt and a white shirt from Corps Dancewear.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT | BEGINNING BALLET NON-SYLLABUS BALLET CLASSES
Girls-Solid colored leotard, pink footed tights, ballet wrap skirts permitted at teacher’s discretion, ballet slippers, hair secured neatly off the face for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels must have hair in a bun, no jewelry is permitted. Boys-Black tights, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes and dance belt.
MOVE AND GROOVE | JAZZ | PROGRESSIONS
Solid colored leotard, any color footed tight, dance shorts/capris/skirts are permitted. Revolution dark tan slip on jazz shoes. Sports bras and crop tops are not allowed. Dance shorts are permitted if worn with tights.
TAP
Solid colored leotard, any color footed tight, dance shorts/capris/skirt are permitted, tan flat tap shoe with buckle for beg, adv beg and tap level III, tan lace up jazz/tap shoe for tap level IV and up. Sports bras and crop tops are not allowed. Dance shorts are permitted if worn with tights.
DANCE ACRO
Solid colored leotard, leggings, dance shorts are permitted if worn with footless tights, bare feet. Sports bras and crop tops are not allowed.
LYRICAL | CONTEMPORARY
Solid colored leotard, any color footless tight, dance shorts/capris/skirts are permitted. Adage turner shoes or a similar style are used for class. Sports bras and crop tops are not allowed. Dance shorts are permitted if worn with tights.
HIP HOP
Loose fitting dance clothing, hair secured off the face, tennis shoes with NON-MARKING soles. Sports bras and crop tops are not allowed. Dance shorts are permitted if worn with tights.
COSTUMES
We spend many hours determining the correct costume for each class. They are always age-appropriate. All students will need one costume for each subject they train in. Tights and shoes are not included in the price of the costume. In an effort to ensure that costumes are delivered in time for studio photographs and for organized distribution to our students, costume order forms are due in of November. Costume manufacturers do not accept cancellations or offer refunds. Therefore, Ann Parsley School of Dance does not refund costume fees. Costumes cannot be ordered unless the deposit is paid for in full.
